In this body of collage work, using markmaking and colour on tissue papers and silks, I wanted  to convey the layer after layer of rolling hills and landscape which seem to disappear into the distance wherever I walk or drive in Mid Devon. The colours and appearance change all the time according to time of day, weather, season, light and what is planted in the fields. Looking at these landscapes seems to lift my spirits and open my mind to possibilities whilst at the same time making me feel grounded in their solidity.
